Job Description

**Job Title:** Strategic Fundraising Director

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and skilled Strategic Fundraising Director to lead our income generation efforts and develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our ambitious plans for a new hospice.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to secure long-term sustainability and growth for our organization.
  • Lead a team of fundraising professionals to achieve ambitious income targets and expand our donor base.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, and grant funding.
  • Collaborate with our marketing and communications team to develop compelling fundraising campaigns and materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, and community leaders.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure effective financial management and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in fundraising and adapt our strategies to meet the evolving needs of our organization and the charitable sector.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven track record of success in fundraising, with a strong understanding of strategic planning, team management, and donor engagement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of our organization.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, practices, and regulations, with a commitment to ethical fundraising practices.
