Visitor Experience Manager

Castle Kennedy Gardens is seeking a highly skilled Visitor Experience Manager to join our team. As a key member of our estate team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional visitor experiences, ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of our shop, plant centre, and tea room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team of staff, focusing on customer service, performance management, and training needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize income through effective purchasing, creative merchandising, and innovative ideas in catering.
- Monitor customer feedback, mystery visitor audits, and Visit Scotland evaluations to inform action plans and improve the visitor experience.
- Collaborate with internal and external marketing support to develop and implement the annual marketing programme.
- Assist with the management and development of the visitor experience at the holiday cottages, working closely with housekeeping and the properties manager.
Requirements:
- Experience in retail and visitor services sectors, ideally within a visitor attraction, hospitality, or tourism operation.
- Strong IT skills, including office management, report writing, and stock control.
- Excellent written communication, copywriting, and proof-reading skills, with a focus on blogging, vlogging, and social media.
- An appreciation of marketing, promotion, and the influence of social media.
- An enjoyment of rural life and working on an estate.
- A full driver's license is required, and accommodation is available in a two-bedroom cottage with garden at a reasonable rate.
