KYN is an innovative care home organization dedicated to providing a superior level of care. We focus on personalized experiences tailored to the unique needs and interests of our residents, all within beautifully designed environments that enhance their quality of life.
KYN HURLINGHAM is our latest establishment, featuring 32 elegantly appointed bedrooms and communal spaces designed for relaxation and dining. We are also in the process of developing additional care homes in the area.

Role Overview
As a BANK Nights Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the nursing staff and care leads in delivering exceptional, person-centered care to residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are upheld.
- Understanding and implementing personal care plans, taking charge of various aspects of care including infection control and mobility assistance.
- Providing individualized attention to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
- Maintaining residents' dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
- Encouraging independence and honoring residents' choices as reflected in their care plans.
- Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, according to their individual needs.
- Performing minor medical tasks such as oral care, skin care, and supporting end-of-life care.
- Collaborating with the team to meet the medical, physical, social, and emotional needs of residents.
- Utilizing medical equipment safely and effectively.
- Creating a nurturing atmosphere where residents and their families feel valued and secure.
- Involving residents in care decisions to enhance their quality of life.
- Recognizing signs of health issues and reporting them promptly.
- Assisting residents during meal times, especially those needing additional support.
- Encouraging participation in recreational activities to promote mental and physical engagement.
- Mentoring and supporting less experienced care staff.
- Participating in clinical supervision and team meetings.
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding all resident and team member information.
- Providing daily reports on care delivered to designated residents.
- Communicating any concerns regarding resident care to senior staff.
- Welcoming new residents and team members, ensuring they feel at home.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations to protect all individuals on the premises.
- Reporting any hazards or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Completing all required training sessions.
- Following all KYN policies and procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a health and social care environment.
- Possession of NVQ/QCF Diploma Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is preferred.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and tact.
- Strong team player with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work requirements.
