Care Lead (Nights) - Permanent
KYN, a pioneering care home company, is seeking a dedicated Care Lead (Nights) to join our team. As a key member of our night care team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional person-centred care to our residents, preserving their dignity, respect, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Clinical Lead/Registered Nurse in delivering high standards of care to individuals who call a KYN residence their home.
- Lead the night care team, ensuring the highest standard of individualised person-centred care and attention is delivered.
- Participate in clinical supervisions to support personal development and promote improved resident outcomes.
- Ensure residents' medical, physical, social, and emotional needs are met, involving them in decisions about their care.
- Issue daily reports to the person in charge at the end of each shift, noting any changes.
- Encourage residents to participate in recreational activities and provide physical and mental stimulation in a person-centred way.
- Oversee the timely completion of daily care-related documentation, ensuring accuracy.
- Contribute to the care planning process and accurately complete necessary records for designated residents.
- Participate in care reviews and act as the KYN Induction Partner for new team members.
- Support and develop new and less experienced Health Care Assistants through mentorship.
- Attend statutory training sessions and other training deemed applicable to the role.
- Communicate effectively and help resolve concerns raised while working with residents or team members.
- Recognise the responsibility of all team members to welcome and familiarise new residents, team members, and visitors with the home.
- Adhere to all KYN policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and tidy environment, particularly residents' rooms and ensuite facilities.
- Report any hazards or potential hazards to the person in charge and take appropriate action within your training and knowledge.
- Write and evaluate Care Plans as delegated by the Clinical Lead/Registered Nurse.
- Take responsibility for the administration of medications in line with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Guidance.
- Check controlled drugs with the Registered Nurse on duty, adhering to KYN's policies and procedures.
- Replace wound dressings as required under the direction of the Registered Nurse and in adherence to the Wound Care Plan.
- Act as a link to the Registered Nurse regarding the management of ongoing clinical issues.
- Act as a brand ambassador, demonstrating and leading the KYN values.
