General Ledger Accounting and Financial Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger Accounting and Financial Control Manager to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in integrating Probitas into our finance system, ensuring accurate accounting under IFRS 17, and managing financial control.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Converting local GAAP trial balances into UKGI chart of accounts
  • Calculating IFRS 17 accounting and processing into UKGI general ledgers within agreed month-end close timetables
  • Accounting for consolidated and legal entity views into the ledger, working closely with the GI reporting and consolidation team
  • Supporting Balance Sheet reconciliation and financial reporting for the Probitas group of companies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of operating strong financial control, and of consolidation and elimination
  • Strong practical accounting capabilities, including intergroup, consolidation, and balance sheet analytics
  • Conversion from local GAAP to IFRS preferable
