Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Specialist to join our team at Solace Women's Aid. As a key member of our Domestic Abuse team, you will provide pro-active emotional, practical, and advocacy support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
About the ServiceOur Enfield SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Enfield. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team to make a positive impact on the lives of survivors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional, practical, and advocacy support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive support services
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies to ensure seamless service delivery
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure the well-being of survivors
- Provide information and support to survivors regarding their rights and options
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completed ISVA training and experience supporting women affected by sexual violence
- A clear understanding of the effects of and issues facing women affected by sexual violence
- An understanding of the Criminal Justice System
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for working with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse
