About the Role: Independent Domestic Violence Advocate
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs). In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, helping them navigate challenging situations and rebuild their lives.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to victims of domestic abuse, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs and circumstances.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop personalized safety plans to mitigate potential harm.
- Collaborate with a network of multi-agency partners, including law enforcement, social services, and housing organizations, to ensure coordinated and effective support for survivors.
- Advocate on behalf of victims within the criminal justice system, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
- Promote awareness of domestic abuse issues and empower individuals to seek help and support.
