First Contact Independent Gender Violence Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate First Contact Independent Gender Violence Advocate to join our team at Refuge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting women and children impacted by domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional, practical, and personal welfare support to survivors, empowering them to make informed decisions and increase their life options.
- Ensure survivors receive a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights and navigate available resources.
- Inform survivors of their civil, criminal, and practical options to increase their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with borough housing teams to facilitate dual working, ensuring survivors' safety and housing needs are met.
