Domestic Violence Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advocacy Lawyer to join our team at CV-Library. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate, you will play a critical role in supporting survivors of domestic violence and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Manage high-risk domestic violence cases, conducting thorough risk assessments and creating effective safety plans to protect survivors and their children.
- Support Services: Provide practical and emotional support to survivors, focusing on legal advice, housing needs, and tenancy support to empower them to take control of their lives.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with external agencies, such as police, health services, and schools, to ensure coordinated support for survivors and promote a comprehensive approach to addressing domestic violence.
- Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC): Lead and participate in MARACs to protect survivors and their children, ensuring a collaborative and effective response to high-risk cases.
- Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
Requirements:
- Expertise and Knowledge: Possess strong knowledge of domestic violence support, criminal justice processes, and legal remedies to provide informed and effective support to survivors.
