About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the West Kent locality. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning and physical disabilities to access and participate in their local community, while also developing essential life skills.

You will work from hubs as well as within community settings, providing support and assistance to individuals with varying needs. Your role will involve planning and delivering outcome-focused sessions, promoting social inclusion, rights, and choices, and working under the supervision of a senior member of staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant experience in care and support, including working with individuals with learning disabilities. You will also need to have a full clean driving licence and be willing to drive and escort individuals on the service minibus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with learning and physical disabilities to access and participate in their local community
  • Develop and deliver outcome-focused sessions to promote social inclusion, rights, and choices
  • Work under the supervision of a senior member of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality support
  • Drive and escort individuals on the service minibus, as required
  • Hold a Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to undertake this training
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in care and support, including working with individuals with learning disabilities

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing needs
