About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our Community Services team in West Kent. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning and physical disabilities to access and participate in their local community, while also developing essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with learning and physical disabilities to achieve their goals and outcomes through planning and delivering focused sessions.
  • Work from hubs and community settings, providing support and assistance to individuals as needed.
  • Travel across the locality to cover shifts and provide support to individuals in their homes and communities.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs, including manual handling and training.
  • Use a person-centered approach to support individuals, promoting their social inclusion, rights, and choices.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in care and support of individuals, including those with learning disabilities.
  • Awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities, challenging behavior, autism, epilepsy, and other disabilities.
  • Full clean driving license and ability to drive and escort individuals on the service minibus.
  • Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to undertake training.
