We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Community Services team in West Kent. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning and physical disabilities to access and participate in their local community, while also developing essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals with learning and physical disabilities to achieve their goals and outcomes through planning and delivering focused sessions.
- Work from hubs and community settings, traveling across the locality to cover shifts as needed.
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs, including manual handling training.
- Use a person-centered approach to promote social inclusion, rights, and choices, under the supervision of senior staff.
- Drive and escort individuals on the service minibus, requiring a full clean driving license.
- Relevant experience in care and support of adults, including those with learning disabilities.
- Awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities, challenging behavior, autism, epilepsy, and other disabilities.
- Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to undertake training.
- Full UK Driving License and ability to drive the service minibus.
