About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Nurse to join our All Age Eating Disorder team in Kent and Medway. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with eating disorders, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff members, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to deliver excellent care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practice and meet the needs of our patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure that patients receive a holistic and integrated approach to care.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration status.
  • Experience of working with patients with eating disorders, including assessment, treatment, and care planning.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers.
  • Strong clinical leadership and supervision skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
