We are seeking a Governance Clerk to provide high-quality clerking services to our schools. This is an exciting opportunity to join our governance team and work flexibly around a calendar of scheduled meetings.
**About the Role**
Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross-phase Multi Academy Trust comprising eight schools, six primary schools, and two 11-16 secondary schools. The Trust is a medium-sized family of schools located within a tight geographic hub.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Provide administrative support to our governance team
• Attend meetings at each school, taking minutes and ensuring accurate records
• Prepare and distribute meeting papers, agendas, and minutes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of governance meetings and decisions
• Provide support to the Trust Head of Governance as required
**Requirements**
• Previous governance experience is beneficial but not essential
• Previous experience of minute-taking is essential
• Ability to work flexibly and independently
• Strong organizational and communication skills
