The role of the Cyber Security Engineer at Pharaoh Capital involves joining a dynamic security team dedicated to the design, implementation, and upkeep of operational cybersecurity measures.

This position requires proactive, risk-oriented monitoring of priority networks to detect both internal and external cyber threats and attacks.

Key responsibilities include:

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing and integrating security event monitoring along with incident management services.
  • Responding to security incidents as part of a collaborative incident response team.
  • Creating metrics and dashboards to enhance visibility across the Enterprise infrastructure.
  • Utilizing the SOAR platform to streamline team processes through playbook automation and case management.
  • Producing documentation to ensure the standardization and repeatability of security operating procedures.
  • Enhancing investigative methods using the SOC's software tools for improved analysis recognition.
  • Maintaining a security baseline in line with the latest threat intelligence and evolving trends.
  • Participating in root cause analysis of incidents alongside engineers throughout the organization.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on a wide array of information security standards and best practices.
  • Offering strategic and tactical security guidance, including evaluating the requirements of technical controls.
  • Engaging in the CRM process.
  • Collaborating with SOC engineers to maintain current dashboards of security alerts for better incident response.
  • Documenting, validating, and creating operational processes to support SOC development.
  • Assisting in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and key resources.
  • Building, installing, configuring, and testing dedicated cyber defense hardware.
  • Supporting junior analysts in managing SOC systems.

Your Qualifications

  • Experience with Enterprise ICS/network architectures and technologies.
  • Knowledge of SIEM solutions, including use case identification, creation, deployment, and tuning.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior analysts.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain frameworks.
  • Experience with ELK (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) and Tanium.
  • Proficiency in maintaining Microsoft directory services.
  • Skilled in using virtualization software.
  • Understanding of key security frameworks such as ISO and NIST 800-53.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience in drafting Defense/Government documentation.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Completion of Broad Spectrum Cyber Course (SANS SEC401 or SEC501 or equivalent).
  • SIEM Design, Architecture, and Analyst Course (SANS SEC455 or SEC555 or equivalent).
  • Advanced Analyst Course (SANS SEC503 or equivalent).
