Senior Practitioner Psychologist or Specialist Psychological Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner Psychologist or Specialist Psychological Therapist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality psychological services to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological therapy services to individuals, carers, families, and groups, adhering to best practice and trust care pathways.
- Hold and manage a clinical caseload, exercising autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients.
- Take clinical leadership roles and supervise junior staff, including assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists, and other professionals.
- Contribute to the development, evaluation, and monitoring of team operational policies and services, utilizing research skills and expertise.
- Represent psychological therapy within multi-disciplinary care contexts and work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Recognized postgraduate level training in a psychological therapy, as specified in the Appendix.
- Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
- Substantial post-qualification experience of specialist psychological therapy, with a high level of competence in applying psychological therapies to complex difficulties.
- Experience of teaching, training, and supervision within a demanding organizational context.
- Knowledge of guidance and legislation related to the client group, as well as a high-level specialist knowledge of psychological therapy theory and practice.
