We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Reward to join our team at the Financial Ombudsman Service. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive reward strategy that drives business outcomes and enhances employee engagement.
- Lead the design and delivery of our total reward framework, including pay, benefits, and recognition programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and effective communication of reward-related initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on reward-related matters, including pay and benefits, to senior leaders and the executive team.
- Manage the payroll function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Embed our new reward strategy and progression framework, providing insight and guidance to managers on how to utilize the flexibility and recognize employee contributions.
- Develop and implement a flexible benefits offering that celebrates diversity and recognizes individual needs.
- Oversee the annual reward cycle, including pay review, executive pay review, and benefits review.
- Continuously review and refine our reward strategy to ensure it remains competitive and aligned with our strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including the finance and communications teams, to deliver successful reward-related initiatives.
- Manage the end-to-end process of delivering Board-level papers on reward-related matters, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Develop the capability and continuous improvement of the reward and payroll teams.
- Proven experience in a Head of Reward (or equivalent) level position, with a track record of implementing and managing reward frameworks.
- Strong understanding of HR systems and platforms, with experience in leveraging them to transform the employee experience and improve processes and governance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to recognize key dependencies and interdependencies across HR and other key stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership.
