Head of Reward Job Description

At Alexander Lloyd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Reward to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading the Reward team to ensure alignment with our overarching strategic objectives and people strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice and support to leaders across the business, and Business Partners on reward and recognition
  • Ensure reward frameworks are managed consistently, in accordance with best practice, and legal, regulatory and governance requirements
  • Lead the market benchmarking process to ensure the company continues to offer competitive and relevant reward and benefits
  • Oversee the administration of all reward programmes, including annual pay review cycle, benefits enrolment window and various incentive programmes
  • Ensure that all programmes comply with regulatory and legal requirements, including timely and accurate submission of pay gap and other statutory reporting elements
  • Closely collaborate with other HR sub-functions such as Talent Acquisition and Talent Development to ensure the offering is aligned to the employee value proposition and supports career growth
  • Support in the preparation of papers for the Group Executive Committee and Remuneration Committee of the Board
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the Reward team
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years technical compensation and benefits experience in a corporate environment, ideally financial services
  • Track record of compiling and presenting data and insights, particularly reward modelling, job architecture, and benefits brokering
  • Experience of managing, leading, empowering and motivating teams
  • Excellent data analysis and communications skills
  • Able to influence, negotiate and manage demonstrating credibility and respect
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current industry best practice in Reward Performance
