The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dementia Specialist Nurse to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise within our dementia care services, ensuring that we deliver person-centered, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to patients, families, and carers regarding the complex needs of individuals living with dementia within an acute setting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Lead and participate in training initiatives to enhance staff knowledge and skills related to dementia care, promoting best practices throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of dementia care services through clinical audits and research initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead for Dementia to ensure the successful implementation of our Trust's Dementia Strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a strong commitment to dementia care. You will possess:

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in dementia care or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive post-registration experience, with significant specialization in dementia care.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively mentor and supervise others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
