Job Summary:

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a specialist nurse, you will provide expert care and support to patients and their families living with gastroenterology conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist-nursing care, education, and support to patients and their carers living with gastroenterology conditions.
  • Facilitate high-quality care within the caseload, identifying and monitoring high-risk patients to detect clinical deterioration and provide treatment/guidance within your scope of practice.
  • Work closely with colleagues across NHS Ayrshire and Arran and all local authorities/partnerships to ensure seamless care is provided and evidence-based practice is carried out in line with regional and national gastroenterology strategies.

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Significant experience of caring for patients with gastroenterology conditions
  • Educated to degree level or Specialist qualification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilient

Working Hours:

15 hours per week

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.

Fixed Term/Secondment:

Please note this job is a fixed term/secondment until August 2025.
