Paediatric Anaesthesia Specialist Registrar

Job Summary

The Specialist Registrar post in Paediatric Anaesthesia is a 1-year advanced training position that provides comprehensive training in all aspects of Paediatric Anaesthesia. The post is based at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, and is part of the West of Scotland Training Programme in Paediatric Anaesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the West of Scotland Training Programme in Paediatric Anaesthesia
  • Receive training in all aspects of Paediatric Anaesthesia
  • Be supervised by the College Tutor within the RHC
  • Have performance assessed on a regular basis throughout the year
  • Conform to the Royal College of Anaesthetists curriculum

Requirements

  • Currently be in a Type I training post
  • Hold a National/Visiting Training Number
  • Be in either ST6 or ST7 at the commencement of the post
  • Possess MBChB or recognised equivalent
  • Possess FRCA or recognised equivalent
