Job Overview

The Paediatric Anaesthesia Specialist Registrar post is a key component of the West of Scotland Training Programme in Paediatric Anaesthesia. This prestigious training opportunity is approved by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and aligns with the College's curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the West of Scotland Training Programme in Paediatric Anaesthesia
  • Receive supervision and guidance from the College Tutor at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow
  • Undergo regular performance assessments to ensure progress and adherence to training standards
  • Engage in advanced training in all aspects of Paediatric Anaesthesia, supervised by the Anaesthetic Specialty Training Committee of the Scotland Deanery – West Region (STC)

Requirements

  • Currently hold a Type I training post and possess a National/Visiting Training Number
  • Be in either ST6 or ST7 at the commencement of the post
  • Hold an MBChB or recognised equivalent qualification
  • Possess FRCA or recognised equivalent qualification
