Job Title: Deputy Chef – Cloverleaf

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef to join our team at Tanglewood Care Homes in Lincoln. As a Deputy Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving meals to residents and staff.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, well-organized, and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they are aware of and adhere to food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Monitor and control food costs, stock levels, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience for residents.
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds 706 – 1 & 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Chef or similar role in a care home or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.
