Job Title: Deputy Chef – Cloverleaf

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef to join our team at Tanglewood Care Homes in Lincoln. As a Deputy Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving hot and cold meals to residents and staff.
  • Ensure the implementation of the care home's Health & Safety policy, Emergency and Fire procedures, and COSHH.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, supervision, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate records of food supplies, freezer, and fridge temperatures.
  • Assist in the ordering of stock, checking deliveries, and checking and valuing stock as required.
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds 706 – 1 & 2 or equivalent qualification (achieved or working towards).
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
