Job Title: Deputy Chef – Cloverleaf

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef to join our team at Tanglewood Care Homes in Lincoln. As a Deputy Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving hot and cold meals to residents and staff.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff members in food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques.
  • Monitor and control food stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of menus and kitchen policies.
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds 706 – 1 & 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Chef or similar role in a care home or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
