Opportunity to Expand Gastroenterology Services in Nottingham

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our diverse and lively gastroenterology department in a large teaching hospital. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish their own subspecialist interest and contribute to the provision of gastroenterology services in Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services in clinics and endoscopically according to their interests.
  • Contribute to the acute gastroenterology on-call service and weekday daytime cover at City Hospital.
  • Participate in inpatient care of luminal gastroenterology patients at QMC for 8 weeks a year in 2-week blocks.
Requirements:
  • Medical Degree
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Registered with and has a full licence to practice with the GMC
  • Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT or CESR
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Experience in teaching & supervising medical students and junior trainees
  • Experience of undertaking audits and presenting their findings
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Higher teaching or research qualification
  • Completion of recognised subspecialty training in gastroenterology
