Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renal Vascular Access Specialist Nurse to join our team at NHS Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting timely and efficient vascular access in our Renal Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a specialist role to promote the importance of timely and efficient vascular access.
  • Manage a case load of patients requiring vascular access.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve vascular access outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to staff on vascular access best practices.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working in a Renal service.
  • Leadership qualities and organisational skills to manage a case load.
  • Registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Working Hours: 22.2 hours per week.

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff.
