Salary: Scale 4 £22,497 pro rata

Contract Type: Fixed term

Role Overview:

The Scams Information Assistant will be an integral part of the Scams Information Service within the Information Services Team. This initiative, supported by Age UK National and funded by Lloyds Banking Group, aims to empower older individuals by enhancing their understanding and ability to identify and respond to scams. Additionally, the service offers support to elderly victims of fraud in their recovery process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Scams Information Officer in organizing and delivering educational events for various community groups.
  • Collect and document vital monitoring data related to the service.
  • Maintain and update monitoring spreadsheets using Charitylog and Excel; proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Develop an understanding of the various scams targeting older adults and the challenges they face.
