Position Overview

We are in search of a Clinical Operations Leader to spearhead our Clinical Research Nursing and Laboratory Operations teams in the UK, ensuring adherence to the highest scientific and medical standards.
  • This is a full-time, clinic-based role in Leeds.
  • 37 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required by operational needs.

Team Leadership

You will be entrusted with the mission to develop a high-performing team. Your role will encompass leading the UK Research Nurses and Laboratory Operations teams, where your achievements will directly influence their success.
  • You will oversee the Supervisors Team directly, while being accountable for a larger team of over 40 individuals indirectly.


We will rely on you to provide strategic guidance, leadership, and comprehensive performance management, including goal setting, KPI management, performance evaluations, and professional development discussions.

Additionally, you will:
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices throughout the laboratory, identifying opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency gains.
  • Oversee on-site client audits to ensure compliance and operational excellence.


Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess a blend of scientific knowledge, leadership capabilities, and proficiency in navigating highly regulated environments.
  • A proven track record of progressive leadership roles within clinical research, laboratory, or related sectors.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, particularly in developing leaders who manage large teams.
  • Extensive experience in conducting performance reviews, team goal-setting initiatives, mentoring, and training.


Educational Background
  • BSc in a scientific or medical discipline.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
