About the Role: Are you a qualified Social Worker or Nursing Professional? At Norfolk County Council, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, comprehensive residential care for children and young individuals with disabilities, aiming for outstanding outcomes and lasting impacts.

We are excited to announce the establishment of a new residential facility in Norwich named 'The Den', designed to offer holistic support for young people with learning disabilities who may have complex health requirements and/or challenging behaviors.

'The Den' can accommodate two young residents or function as a single-occupancy home. The service will be equipped with its own vehicle and is conveniently located in a Norwich suburb with excellent public transport links, ensuring easy access to local amenities, parks, and recreational facilities such as bowling alleys, swimming pools, and cinemas, along with proximity to the beautiful Norfolk coast.

Employee Experience: What is it like to work within Norfolk County Council's Residential Services? Here’s a testimonial from a current staff member in the Children with Disabilities Residential Service:

We are currently seeking passionate, resilient, and positive individuals who possess humor, tenacity, and empathy to assist children and young people with disabilities in thriving and achieving their full potential.

The direct engagement with the young residents can be immensely rewarding. Additionally, you will benefit from a comprehensive initial induction and training program, ongoing professional development opportunities, the option to enroll in a respected pension scheme, and generous holiday allowances.

Further Information: For additional details, please reach out to the Team Manager. We are also hosting a virtual information session to provide insights into this new service.

We hope this opportunity aligns with your skills, enthusiasm, and career aspirations.
