Options Autism is seeking a Maintenance Operations Technician

Position: Maintenance Operations Technician

Location: Scunthorpe Region

Compensation: £23,920.00 annually plus an additional £500 for on-call duties

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Requirements: A valid UK Driving Licence and access to a personal vehicle are essential.

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operations Technician to enhance our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Facilities Team to ensure the delivery of high-quality maintenance services.
  • Engage with external contractors for specialized work beyond standard maintenance and keep the Facilities Manager informed.
  • Provide guidance to staff on plant machinery and equipment, focusing on safety, maintenance, and procurement of new tools.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, usage, and storage of all tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment status.
  • Travel as necessary to various locations for job responsibilities.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests as part of service provision.
  • Assist team members in property management and collaborative tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of risk assessments and maintenance procedures in line with company policies.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Provide weekly reports on completed work.
  • Adhere to company policies, particularly regarding Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Health and Safety.

General Duties:

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all external areas.
  • Ensure all drains and gullies are clear for optimal operation.
  • Inspect the exterior of buildings and report or repair any defects.
  • Check fences, gates, walls, and lighting, addressing any issues as needed.
  • Conduct grounds checks and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
