Facilities Technician Opportunity

Position: Facilities Technician

Location: Scunthorpe Region

Compensation: £23,920.00 annually plus additional call-out remuneration

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to enhance our dedicated team.

Role Overview

The Facilities Technician will collaborate with the Facilities Team to guarantee the delivery of superior facilities services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with external service providers for tasks that exceed standard maintenance duties and keep the Facilities Manager informed.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding machinery and equipment, focusing on safety, maintenance, and procurement of new tools.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, utilized, and securely stored.
  • Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment status.
  • Travel across various site locations or to suppliers as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Respond promptly to urgent requests related to staff or service needs.
  • Assist colleagues in the Facilities Team with property management and collaborative tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of risk assessments and maintenance procedures in line with company standards.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule.
  • Provide weekly updates on completed tasks.
  • Adhere to company policies, particularly regarding Health and Safety and safeguarding protocols.

General Duties:

  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all external areas.
  • Regularly inspect and clear drains and gullies to maintain effective operation.
  • Examine the building's exterior and report or address any defects.
  • Inspect fences, gates, walls, and lighting, reporting or repairing issues as needed.
  • Conduct grounds checks and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
