About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Health Care Assistant to join our team at Wirral Hospice St John's. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and administering medication.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the hospice team to deliver a seamless and compassionate care service.
  • Recognize changes in patients' conditions and report to appropriate healthcare practitioners.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and safety huddles to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • 6 months' experience as a Nursing Auxiliary or HCA.
  • Ability to use a range of IT systems.
  • Proven ability to provide personal care and support.
