About the Role

We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead the redesign of a key statutory service in our education department. As a member of our high-performing transformation team, you will work closely with stakeholders to drive change and improve outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead, and manage a key statutory service redesign project, using a flexible approach to drive change and improve outcomes.
  • Research and analyse best practice nationally to inform service redesign options.
  • Engage with schools, other local authorities, and health stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Develop and present options and associated risks for service redesign to senior managers and councillors.
  • Plan and implement the agreed option, which may include introducing new ways of working.
Requirements
  • A relevant professional qualification, degree, or equivalent experience and/or knowledge.
  • A motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and think strategically and analytically.
  • Skills and experience in project delivery, public and stakeholder engagement, and risk analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues from across the organisation, including senior officers and elected members, as well as external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of research, development, and evaluation techniques, and the ability to maintain relevant, current knowledge of trends, approaches, and methodologies.
