Macmillan Davies is excited to announce an opening for an Employee Relations Specialist to join a prestigious sports and luxury retail organization that is leading the market.
This retail entity is recognized for its innovative strategies and broad product offerings, having undergone significant growth in recent years through several high-profile acquisitions. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to ongoing development and creativity within the business.

We are looking for a seasoned Employee Relations (ER) Specialist to become part of the comprehensive onsite HR team. In this pivotal role, you will manage a variety of ER casework, ensuring the equitable and consistent application of company policies and procedures. You will serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to HR and ER matters, providing managers with essential advice and support.
Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner (HRBP), your contributions will be vital in cultivating a positive and efficient workplace atmosphere.
This position will be located at a key distribution site, requiring presence five days a week. Previous experience in a similar logistics or distribution setting will be advantageous.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a comparable ER/HR role within a fast-paced and dynamic setting
- Proficient in managing ER cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals, absence management, and redundancies
- Current knowledge of employment laws, including GDPR compliance
- Resilient, adaptable, assertive, and confident in approach
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, people management, and change management skills
- Strong analytical and systems proficiency
- Effective problem-solving capabilities in a high-velocity business environment
