Macmillan Davies is pleased to announce an opening for an Employee Relations Advisor to join a prestigious sports and luxury retail organization that is leading the market.

This retail entity is recognized for its innovative strategies and diverse product offerings, having undergone significant growth in recent years through several notable acquisitions. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to ongoing development and creativity within the company.

We are looking for a seasoned Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to integrate into the broader onsite HR team. In this pivotal role, you will manage a variety of ER casework, ensuring that policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently. You will serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to HR and ER matters, providing essential advice and support to management.

Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner (HRBP), your contributions will be vital in promoting a positive and effective workplace culture.

This position will be located at a flagship distribution site, requiring a commitment of five days per week. Previous experience in a similar logistics or distribution setting will be advantageous.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable ER/HR position within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in managing ER cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals, absence management, and redundancies
  • Current knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR compliance
  • Resilient, adaptable, assertive, and confident in approach
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, people management, and change management skills
  • Solid analytical and systems capabilities
  • Effective problem-solving skills in a high-velocity business setting
