About the Role

Climax Studios is a leading creative force in independent game development, renowned for its outstanding portfolio of top-published titles. As a Lead Environment Artist, you will be part of a dynamic team that creates innovative experiences through artistic visuals for AAA titles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceive, create, and lead a team in generating a diverse range of styles for AAA titles.
  • Develop and implement solid art production pathways, ensuring timely and effective project delivery.
  • Manage art teams effectively, assigning artists of varying skill sets to multiple projects.
  • Liaise with clients in an authoritative and professional manner, presenting artistic visions and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality game experiences, meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Stay up-to-date with cutting-edge artistic techniques and tools, implementing them into current practical practices.
Requirements
  • At least 4+ years of experience in console development, with at least 2 shipped titles and one as a Lead Artist.
  • Effective visual and verbal communication skills when directing internal or external teams or individuals.
  • Excellent resource management and judgement while assigning artists of varying skill sets to multiple projects.
  • Comfortable liaising with and presenting to clients in an authoritative and professional manner.
  • A self-motivated team-leader who is outgoing, friendly, gregarious with attention to detail and a passion for delivering the best possible game experience.
  • Autonomous in managing deadlines & budgets, with excellent time management skills.
  • Experience of managing art teams effectively and in a timely fashion.
  • 2-3 years experience developing and implementing solid art production pathways.
  • The ability to find creative solutions when troubleshooting and assessing risks.
