About the Role

Climax Studios, a leading creative force in independent game development, is seeking an experienced and multi-talented Lead Environment Artist to join our team. As a key member of our studio, you will be responsible for conceiving, creating, and leading the team in developing innovative artistic visuals for AAA titles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement artistic visions for AAA titles, working closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration.
  • Lead a team of artists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality art assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as design and programming, to ensure a cohesive and engaging gaming experience.
  • Manage resources, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
  • At least 4+ years of experience in console development, with a minimum of 2 shipped titles and one as a Lead Artist.
  • Excellent resource management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Autonomous and self-motivated, with the ability to manage deadlines and budgets.
  • Experience in managing art teams and implementing art production pathways.
