About the Role

Climax Studios, a leading creative force in independent games development, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environment Artist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and visually stunning environments for AAA titles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceive and create high-quality environment art for AAA games
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration of art assets
  • Develop and implement solid art production pathways to meet project deadlines
  • Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in environment art
Requirements
  • At least 4+ years of experience in console development with at least 2 shipped titles
  • Effective visual and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent resource management and judgment
  • Comfortable liaising with clients and presenting in a professional manner
  • Self-motivated, friendly, and gregarious with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and deadline management skills
  • 2-3 years experience developing and implementing art production pathways
  • Ability to find creative solutions when troubleshooting and assessing risks
  • Good understanding of cutting-edge artistic techniques and tools
Skills
  • Creative and self-motivated
  • Strong and versatile modeling skills
  • Experience using Maya, Unreal 4, Unity, Substance, and ZBrush
  • Excellent quality-oriented
  • Some experience setting up LODs
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Artistic education to at least graduate level
  • Strong folio including examples of realistic modeling and environment art
Desirable Skills
  • Good environment lighting skills
  • Keen eye for scene composition
  • Experience with iterative development and rapid game play prototyping
