Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HR professional to enhance our team of People Business Partners. In this role, you will receive a competitive salary, along with a company vehicle or a generous cash alternative, and an attractive bonus scheme linked to both individual and company performance.

This position will involve traveling to various locations, and flexibility in working hours is essential as we operate around the clock. You will report to the People and Talent Manager while collaborating closely with the Regional Manager and Training Business Partner to meet all business objectives.

Role Purpose

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive Human Resource consultancy services to designated business areas, utilizing your expertise to develop effective action plans. You will be tasked with providing proactive solutions, training, and responsive guidance to help your assigned areas achieve their operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a clear People strategy that aligns with and supports our business objectives and enhances overall performance.
  • Conduct essential training sessions to assist managers within the organization.
  • Identify specific training needs and provide coaching and training to Line Managers on HR-related operational issues.
  • Actively engage as a member of the business unit team, participating in meetings and projects while fostering relationships through visibility and approachability.
  • Offer expert advice and guidance to Line Managers on all HR matters, including grievance and disciplinary issues.
  • Cultivate constructive relationships across the organization and provide regular feedback to management teams, contributing to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze employee turnover, exit interviews, and absence statistics, identifying trends and proposing solutions to help managers improve performance.

Qualifications

About You

To qualify for this role, you must hold a Level 5 CIPD qualification (MCIPD). As a central point of contact and expertise, you will be an experienced HR professional with a strong commercial perspective and a commitment to continuous improvement. You should demonstrate:

  • A robust generalist HR background with a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within a multi-site, unionized environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practice HR principles, particularly in employee relations, performance management, and engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to deliver quality service while promoting positive cultural change.
  • Flexibility to meet the operational demands of the role.
