Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HR professional to enhance our team of People Business Partners. This position offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle or a generous cash alternative, and an attractive bonus scheme based on both individual and company performance.

The role will involve supporting various locations, necessitating travel and occasional overnight stays. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as our operations run around the clock. You will report to the People and Talent Manager while collaborating closely with the Regional Manager and Training Business Partner to achieve business objectives.

Role Purpose

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive Human Resource consultancy services to designated business areas, utilizing your expertise to develop effective action plans. You will provide proactive solutions, training, and responsive guidance to help your assigned areas meet their business goals.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a clear People strategy that aligns with and enhances our business objectives and overall performance.
  • Conducting essential training sessions to support managers across the network.
  • Identifying specific training needs and providing appropriate coaching and training to Line Managers on HR-related operational issues.
  • Actively participating in meetings and projects to build relationships and foster visibility within the business unit.
  • Offering expert advice to Line Managers on all HR matters, including grievance and disciplinary issues.
  • Cultivating constructive relationships throughout the organization and providing regular feedback to management teams to promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and analyzing labor turnover, exit interviews, and absence statistics to identify trends and propose solutions to improve performance.

Qualifications

About You

To qualify for this role, you must possess a Level 5 CIPD qualification (MCIPD). You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong commercial perspective and a commitment to continuous improvement, demonstrating:

  • A robust generalist HR background with a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within a multi-site, unionized environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practice HR principles, particularly in employee relations, performance management, retention, and engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to deliver quality service while promoting positive cultural change.
  • Flexibility to meet the operational demands of the role.
