Job Overview

We are seeking a top-tier HR professional to enhance our team of skilled People Business Partners. In return, we offer a competitive salary of approximately £59,500, along with a company vehicle or a generous cash alternative, and an attractive bonus scheme based on individual and organizational performance.

This position will primarily involve supporting various locations, necessitating travel and occasional overnight stays. Flexibility in working hours is essential as we operate around the clock. You will report to the People and Talent Manager while collaborating closely with the Regional Manager and Training Business Partner to achieve business objectives.

Position Purpose

Your role will encompass delivering comprehensive Human Resource consultancy services to designated business areas through expert knowledge and effective action plans. You will be responsible for providing proactive solutions, training, and reactive guidance to help achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a clear People strategy that aligns with and adds value to our business objectives and overall performance.
  • Conducting essential training sessions to support managers across the network.
  • Identifying specific training needs and providing appropriate coaching and training to Line Managers on HR-related operational matters.
  • Actively participating in meetings and projects, building relationships through visibility and availability.
  • Offering expert guidance to Line Managers on all HR aspects, including grievance and disciplinary issues.
  • Fostering constructive relationships across the organization and providing regular feedback to management teams to promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and analyzing labor turnover, exit interviews, and absence statistics to identify trends and propose solutions to improve performance.

Qualifications

About You

To qualify for this role, you must hold a Level 5 CIPD qualification (MCIPD). You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong commercial outlook and a commitment to continuous improvement, demonstrating:

  • A solid generalist HR background with a proven track record in a similar role, preferably in a multi-site, unionized environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practice HR principles, particularly in employee relations, performance management, retention, and engagement.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to provide quality service while promoting positive cultural change.
  • Flexibility to meet the operational demands of the role.
  • A collaborative team player who embodies the core values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring, and Accountability.
