Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Buying Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with various department functions, managing data, generating reports, and assisting in buying trip preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Merchandising, warehouse, finance, and stores departments as required.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and concise filing and data systems.
  • Generate weekly reports for Monday trade.
  • Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis.
  • Assist in buying trip preparation and ensure all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Help create trend reports and presentations for luxury department store managers and retail staff.
  • Monitor competitors, research new brand proposals, and provide feedback on current market trends.
  • Work closely with brands, manage order confirmations, purchase orders, and repeats, while maintaining a comprehensive and accurate tracker and priority schedule.
  • Participate in store visits and provide detailed feedback to the Buyers and Merchandising team.
  • Manage workload and priority lists for the Merchandising Admin Team and interns or work experience attendees.
  • Review margins and RRP's, highlighting seasonal changes and providing details for consistent growth.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Buying Admin role is preferred, but placement year or internship experience will be considered.
  • Passion for gaining experience and developing a career in Branded Buying.
  • Passion for working with luxury high-fashion brands.
  • Proactive, hard-working, and excellent at building relationships.
  • Advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
  • Hard-working, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workload.
