Job Description

Quest Search & Selection is partnering with a leading B2B media company to fill the role of Account Director. This position involves leading, identifying, and nurturing strong relationships with clients across various sectors, including Food and Pharmaceuticals.

The Account Director will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing revenue channels while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the industry landscape, market trends, and key players.
  • Staying informed about client offerings, market spending patterns, and client investments.
  • Understanding and aligning with brand, product, and individual targets, implementing strategies to achieve them.
  • Leading client meetings and presentations to maintain strong relationships and drive business forward.
  • Ensuring smooth and professional delivery of services, resolving any issues internally and externally.
  • Providing clients with detailed performance reports, identifying future opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Attending relevant industry exhibitions, conferences, and events, including potential international travel.
  • Leading by example and ensuring the team effectively uses CRM systems to capture accurate data and manage reports, utilizing this information to make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B media sales across a comprehensive product portfolio, print, digital, events, or conferences.
  • Operated as a Senior Manager/Director level.
  • Experience lending to more Business Development than just Account Management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in driving business and profit growth.
  • Experience working alongside other Account Managers to drive their results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strong time management skills.
  • Expertise in building and leading effective relationships to ensure timely and accurate information sharing, between internal and external relationships.
  • Keeps up to date with new procedures, media, industry knowledge, and legislation.
