Job Title: Children's Head of Service
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Children's Service team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving service quality improvement, managing frontline practice, and analyzing data to inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Service Improvement: Provide strategic leadership to the Children's Service team, driving service quality improvement and ensuring effective service delivery.
- Frontline Practice Management: Manage and oversee frontline practice work, ensuring that services are delivered to the highest standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data to inform strategic decisions, identify trends, and forecast future service needs.
- Multi-Agency Working: Develop and maintain effective relationships with external partners, ensuring seamless service delivery and collaboration.
- Change Management: Lead and manage change initiatives, considering options, assessing risk, and implementing new strategies.
- Financial Management: Provide financial management expertise, ensuring robust financial management arrangements, compliance with regulations, and effective budgetary control.
- Project Management: Successfully implement project management and operational activities, ensuring timely delivery and effective outcomes.
- Business Awareness: Demonstrate business awareness of national and local government contexts, ensuring that services are aligned with policy and legislative requirements.
- Persuasion and Influencing: Utilize persuasion and influencing skills to drive change, manage conflict, and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Communication and Reporting: Develop and maintain effective communication and reporting skills, ensuring that complex written reports and policy documents are understood and interpreted correctly.
- Team Leadership: Build and motivate a high-performing team, creating a positive environment that encourages open discussion, innovation, and professional development.
- Professional Qualifications: Hold a Social Work professional qualification or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in direct social work management and supervision.
