Job Summary
We Do Social Work is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Care Leavers and USAC Team as a Children's Service Director. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of the needs of children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Management: Contribute to the delivery of performance management to ensure timely, effective, and good quality outcomes for children and young people.
- Team Management: Directly manage a group of Team Managers and, through them, social work services.
- Risk Management: Build capacity and manage risk to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
- Equality and Diversity: Promote equality of opportunity, diversity, and inclusion in the service area.
- Culture Development: Build and support a culture of good practice within the team.
- Service Planning: Develop processes and practice that ensure consultation and engagement with children, young people, and their carers in service planning and delivery.
- Leadership: Lead specific service areas that are changeable depending upon business need.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Offer coaching and mentoring across the service as required.
