POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you an aspiring accountant with a knack for team leadership and a commitment to excellence in financial management? We are seeking a skilled individual with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a comparable position, although candidates with extensive experience will also be considered.
In this position, you will oversee a team of two accounts payable officers, ensuring the efficient functioning of the accounts payable department. You will assist in preparing tax compliance reports, maintain asset registers, and oversee depreciation schedules. Your duties will also encompass reconciling balance sheet accounts and approving quarterly bank reconciliations for the organization globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership: Inspire, guide, and develop your team to reach their full potential. Payment Processing Oversight: Manage and authorize regular payment cycles. Bank Reconciliation Approval: Ensure precision and adherence to standards across our international accounts. Claims Management: Oversee and submit accurate claims. Royalty Payment Management: Efficiently process and manage royalty payments. Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reconciliation.CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Skills and Experience
Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, as well as financial systems. Familiarity with purchase ledger systems integrated within standard accounting software. Moderate experience in financial accounting, including fixed asset management, VAT submissions, and balance sheet reconciliations. Proven experience in team management. Demonstrated ability in process improvement and implementation.Qualifications
Professional Credentials: AAT qualified, or part-qualified in CIMA, ACA, ACCA. Candidates who are part-qualified or possess significant experience (5+ years) will be considered.
