Clinical Director

The Clinical Director plays a pivotal role in The Priory's Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Care first Operations Director. This key position oversees the delivery of high-quality counselling services, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Support and manage direct reports, including Counselling Centre Manager, Clinical Lead, Clinical Referral Manager, Clinical Administration Team Leader, Remote Counsellor Team Lead, Critical Incidents Coordinator, to foster a productive and effective team environment.
- Clinical Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of Care first counselling services, ensuring adherence to EAPA Standards and the stepped care model, including referrals to Priory for clients requiring CBT or EMDR.
- Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and support to the clinical team, guaranteeing optimum delivery of services and adherence to quality standards.
- Clinical Governance: Ensure regular clinical governance takes place with relevant team members, documenting all proceedings appropriately.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement clear risk management protocols, incorporating these into new clinical staff induction training.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise with Care first customers to provide consultation and appropriate service responses, meeting their needs effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Implement measures and processes to ensure quality standards in service provision, addressing any issues promptly.
- Critical Incident Response: Oversee Critical Incident responses and management, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
- Complaints Handling: Ensure clinical complaints are suitably investigated and responded to in a professional and timely manner.
- Bespoke Support: Allocate appropriate professionals to deliver Care first Bespoke Support services, aligning with customer expectations.
- Ethical Issues: Address ethical issues through robust case management and consultation services, adhering to the BACP Ethical Framework.
- Business Development: Assist in supplying materials to promote Care first business and services during tender processes.
- EAP Delivery: Ensure the highest standards of EAP delivery, working in association with the Operations Director.
