The Clinical Director plays a pivotal role in The Priory's Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Care first Operations Director. This key position involves close collaboration with senior directors to drive the organization's clinical strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management: The Clinical Director is responsible for supporting and managing a team of direct reports, including the Counselling Centre Manager, Clinical Lead, Clinical Referral Manager, Clinical Administration Team Leader, Remote Counsellor Team Lead, Critical Incidents Coordinator, to ensure they operate effectively and efficiently.
  2. Clinical Service Delivery: The Clinical Director oversees the delivery of The Priory's counselling services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
  3. Training and Development: This role involves overseeing the training and support of the clinical team to guarantee optimum delivery of services, aligning with The Priory's commitment to excellence.
  4. Team Leadership: The Clinical Director leads the Clinical Management Team, driving collaboration and ensuring seamless communication across the organization.
  5. Operational Collaboration: The Clinical Director works closely with the Call Forecaster and Real Time Manager to ensure effective staffing and resource allocation.
  6. Customer Engagement: This role involves liaising with The Priory's customers to provide consultation and appropriate service responses, meeting their needs and expectations.
  7. Quality Assurance: The Clinical Director ensures measures and processes are in place to check quality standards in service provision, guaranteeing The Priory's commitment to excellence.
  8. Critical Incident Response: The Clinical Director oversees Critical Incident responses and management, ensuring a swift and effective response to any incidents.
  9. Complaints Handling: This role involves ensuring that clinical complaints are suitably investigated and responded to in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Bespoke Support Services: The Clinical Director ensures that appropriate professionals are allocated to and support in the delivery of The Priory's Bespoke Support services, meeting customer expectations.
  11. Ethical Framework: The Clinical Director ensures through robust and effective case management and consultation services, that ethical issues are dealt with according to The Priory's Ethical Framework.
  12. Business Development: This role involves assisting in supplying materials to promote The Priory's business and services during tender processes.
  13. EAP Delivery: The Clinical Director ensures the highest standards of EAP delivery, working in association with the Operations Director.
  14. Clinical Governance: The Clinical Director oversees the delivery of service, ensuring adherence to EAPA Standards and that the clinical team follow the appropriate stepped care model, including referrals to Priory for clients requiring CBT or EMDR.
  15. Risk Management: This role involves ensuring that clear risk management protocols are in place and part of all new clinical staff induction training.
