About the Role

Are you enthusiastic about enhancing numerical skills? This role involves assisting adults within the community to improve their mathematical abilities and boost their confidence in everyday numeracy.

The ideal candidate for the Numeracy Coach position will be passionate about helping individuals enhance their functional numeracy skills. A successful background in establishing rapport with diverse individuals and setting realistic, achievable objectives is essential for this role.

The Numeracy Coach will manage a caseload of learners, conducting comprehensive needs assessments to create personalized plans that address individual aspirations and requirements.

This position offers clear pathways for learners, enabling them to overcome barriers to employment and health while fostering a deeper understanding and confidence in numeracy. Strong collaboration with the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector is crucial to provide a holistic approach that meets the needs of Suffolk's most vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and innovative coaching services tailored for adults with disabilities and health conditions.
  • Utilize local community knowledge to enhance service delivery.
  • Adapt coaching theories and tools to meet learners' needs effectively.
  • Provide relevant information, advice, and guidance based on local labor market trends.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and accurately document data.

The experience of our learners is vital to our mission, and providing them with an exceptional, person-centered service is at the heart of the Coach role. Business travel is a requirement for this position.
